Annual Meeting February 28th; Speaker: Economist Gerald Friedman

The annual meeting of Healthcare-Now Maryland is will take place on February 28th. Come hear economist Gerald Friedman present highlights of the new economic impact study modeling the Maryland Health Security Act (SB206), a truly universal healthcare system for Maryland. Jerry Friedman is a Harvard trained economist, head of the economics department at U Mass Amherst. We started fund raising for this study two years ago and it has come to fruition; thanks to everyone who chipped in by calling and donating. There will also be a presentation about the new Healthcare is a Human Right Campaign by Todd Cherkis. Come hear about our plans to hire a grassroots organizer this spring and also how you can help.

Place: Diocesan Center; Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation, NE corner of University Parkway and Charles Street, Baltimore.
